Two South African Policemen Suspended, Will Face Court For Assaulting Nigerian Citizen

South African police officers who were allegedly taking part in assaulting, beating and stripping unclad of an unarmed man on a Cape Town street, were arrested.
This arrest has been made after a video showing the abuse leaked the web on March 7, 2014, Friday, went viral and prompted public outrage.
The suspects, two officers aged 42 and 45 years, would appear in court on March 10, 2014, Monday, on charges of assault.
The victim has been identified as the Nigerian national, Clement Emekensha.
In the video, a security guard ripped the shirt-less man’s trousers off and then a police officer repeatedly punched and kicked the man in the groin. Another officer held the man by the neck.
His underpants came off as the beating continued, before he was loaded into a police car.
However, other accomplices (the security guards) are yet to be arrested.
