Ukraine Crisis: Nigerian students safe

Following the worsening crisis in Ukraine, the Nigerian ambassador to the country, Ambassador Frank Isoh, has assured Nigerians that the nation’s students studying in that country are safe.
He however advised the students not only to remain calm but that they should also remain confined to their campuses.
The ambassador also said over 60 Nigerians have regular jobs in the troubled area, adding that even with the tense situation, “no Nigerian has been reported killed or hurt”.
He assured parents of the safety of their children and wards as the embassy is in regular contact with the students and the Nigerian community.
No fewer than 7,000 Nigerians reside in Ukraine.
However the Nigerian Government has said it is closely monitoring events as they unfold, and would immediately evacuate its citizens if the need arises.
